Join
us as we present Stephanie Gray, Marketing Manager for the Seattle
Seahawks & Seattle Sounders FC. Stephanie will be discussing the
marketing tools the Sounders used to quickly build a loyal (and
intensely passionate!) fan base. She'll discuss everything from branding
and media, to social and guerilla marketing. Whether you like sports or
not, this one will be full of great info and ideas!
Bio:
Gray enters her sixth season with the Seahawks after spending one
year assisting within the Public Relations & Special Events
Department at the University of Arizona. While she has served in a
number of capacities with Seattle, she is currently managing promotions,
advertising and branding for the Seahawks.
The San Carlos, Calif. native earned her degree in journalism from Arizona and expects to graduate this June from Seattle University with a masters in sports administration.
In her free time Gray enjoys spending time with her family including her two sisters and her nephew Aiden.
Favorite Seahawks Moment:
In 2005, the Seahawks played Dallas at home for the second
consecutive year. In 2004 we lost by a field goal kick, so the energy
was high. In the last seconds of the game Josh Brown kicked the winning
field goal really changing the momentum of the season leading us into
the playoffs and eventually the Super Bowl.

McDonald's advertising is possibly some of the best and most loved advertising of the twentieth century. In fact, Advertising Age named the campaign, "You Deserve a Break Today" the best advertising campaign of the twentieth century. And, Ronald McDonald was named the second most influential spokesclown of that time.
Bergold's
presentation takes a look at the development and history of this
advertising back to 1965 and forward. Roy Bergold was responsible for
McDonald's advertising worldwide for many years and he hopes to share
some back stage secrets and commentary about how all this happened.
During these
years, McDonald's won every advertising award out there, over 400
statues. But let's face it, there were some bumps and Bergold will be
sharing some of those stories. If you remember any of the commercials
Bergold will be showing, you will find out how and why it was made and
how it led to McDonald's success.
So, as they say, sit back and let your way back meter run to the Sixties and enjoy the story behind one of the most watched campaigns of our time. Because, You Do Deserve a Break this afternoon, so just have fun.
